Resetting GPS (Geo Location, Share Your Location, etc) on the Mobile App
Initially, the Ankota app asks one time if it may use your location. Please direct your caretakers to accept this request on their browser/mobile device.
On occasion, caretakers will inadvertently choose No. This is problematic because later upon clock in/clock out, an error will appear noting that they choose not to share their location, invalidating the EVV record.
In order for the mobile app to collect location, Chrome must be given GPS access. To do so, follow the directions below.
- Go into Chrome on your mobile device
- Press the Menu (three dots in the upper right hand corner of the top bar)
- Click Settings
- Click Site Settings
- Click Location
- You will see https://ankota.net under Blocked
- Click https://ankota.net
- Click Clear and Reset
The next time a caretaker clocks in or out they will be asked the "Ankota would like to share your location" question. This time answer "allow." The GPS location will then be available on the mobile app.
